Today has been a bit of fun. My good friend and fellow South Aussie Marion Grasby (Masterchef Season 2) flew into Adelaide today from Sydney and we’ve been out on the hustings spruiking McLaren Vale Sea & Vines Festival (June Long Weekend 12th and 13th June).
We are very lucky that Marion will be doing two cooking demos at Oliver’s Taranga on Sunday 12th as part of the festival. She will be focussing on Fleurieu seafood with oysters, ocean trout, squid ink pasta etc etc… It should be delicious. Marion will also have a small excerpt from her forthcoming book (to be released in July) available for punters.
Unfortunately for those without tickets already, the events have sold out – but you can still come along to cellar door and maybe get a sneak peak of Marion between her shows. Of course we will also blog the recipe, photos and details about the event so you can check it out on this very blog!
So, today we had a photo done for the paper and met with Matt Gilbertson from the Sunday Mail (pictured) for an amazingly good gossip session!!
Tomorrow Marion will do some radio (Afternoons on 5AA, and Mix FM) and then she is off to do tastings of her new range of Thai foods at a number of places all over Adelaide.
Oh yeah – today we also squeezed in a picture opportunity for the #HEARTYPARTY – this Friday at Central Market – hope it is in your diaries everyone (5-8.30pm) – it is going to be a great one with Paella and heart-starting wines!
