Oliver's Taranga have a long and distinguished history in the McLaren Vale and are custodians of some of the premier vineyard land in the region.
Corrina Wright is now the winemaking brain behind this progressive winery and her Shiraz is a modern masterstroke. This brilliant wine was produced from Estate grown, specially selected parcels of old vine Shiraz.
The wine reflects the true quality of the 2002 vintage in McLaren Vale. Coating tannins, excellent length, concentrated and complex palate - plums, spice and dark fruits abound. Having tasted a bottle of this wine recently in the office, we felt we had to share it with you!
2002 Oliver's Taranga Shiraz, £170 per 12bt
or £150 per 12bt for orders of 36bt or more
The opaque ruby-colored 2002 Shiraz exhibits terrific fruit intensity, voluminous, beautifully textured, full-throttled flavors, low acidity, and tremendous purity as well as intensity with the oak component kept well in the background. It should drink well for 7-10 years. Drink 2004-2014. 93pt R.Parker
