HJ Reserve Shiraz

Reserve  |  2010 HJ Reserve Shiraz

James Halliday Wine Companion Sept 2014

The estate vineyards were planted in 1948 after HJ (Bert) Oliver returned from RAAF 458 Squadron after WW11.  Is is the essence of McLaren Vale shiraz, rich, warm and generous black fruits, a ladle of dark chocolate, and ripe tannins.  It carries it's alcohol, and will coast through the next 30 years.
