Premium Wines | 2007 Shiraz
Jeremy Oliver, The Australian Wine Annual 2011, 94 Points
Close to an essential McLaren Vale Shiraz of the more rustic, earthy and meaty kind, this is a ripe and richly concentrated wine. Its smoky bouquet of dark, briary plum, blackberries and cassis reveals meaty, charry undertones of dark-chocolate oak backed by clove, nutmeg and cinnamon. It is velvet-smooth and fine-grained, with pure, smoky, chocolaty flavours of liqueur cherries and licorice, finishing long and savoury, mineral and meaty, with just a hint of spirit warmth.
