Reserve  |  2000 HJ Reserve Shiraz

Robert M. Parker, The Wine Advocate – Issue 138, 92 points

Readers weaned on European wines will undoubtedly admire this stunning effort for its strikingly French aromatic profile. The deep ruby/purple-coloured 2000 Shiraz Reserve HJ displays sweet, concentrated, earthy, blackberry and currant flavours, a terrific texture, and a long, low acid, plump, heady finish. From a vintage where the raw materials were not nearly as impressive as 2001, this is a brilliant effort. Enjoy it over the next 7-8 years.
