‘Chica’ Mencia Rose

Small Batch Wines  |  2014 'Chica' Mencia Rose

The Wine Front, August 2014, 90 Points, Gary Walsh

Can’t wait to see what happens with Mencia in this country, meanwhile, turning fruit from young vines into  rosé not a bad idea.

Fresh and zingy, redcurrant, dusting of pepper, subtle rose petal pefume. Lively, not too sweet though it certainly eases the way, clean acidity, juicy fresh red fruit – redcurrant – and a clean, crisp water-coloured finish. Simple, but very good to drink well chilled.
