Fiano

Small Batch Wines  |  2014 Fiano

The Wine Front, August 2014, 92 points, Gary Walsh

Obligatory, almost, to comment on how well Fiano is doing in McLaren Vale.

Melon and melon rind, brine, white flowers – not too fruity, nor too austere. Light to medium weight, clean acid – kind of soft – yet crisp and refreshing. Has a very appealing gentle chalkiness to the texture and raw almond and dried herb perfume on the finish. Magic to drink. Yum, to be specific.
