Shiraz

Premium Wines  |  2011 Shiraz

Tasting Notes:

2011 was an interesting vintage, one of the wettest on record- the all time wettest was 1974!  This has resulted in a slightly more elegant style of Shiraz from our McLaren Vale vineyards.

From the Wine Writers:

One of the most deeply coloured Shiraz's from SA in '11, and foretells the full bodied palate, full of dark fruits and bitter chocolate, supported by savoury tannins. May react well to cellaring.

James Halliday 2013 Wine Companion

Dark and brooding McLaren Vale Shiraz that gets off to a great aromatic start with it's well woven fruit and oak integration, followed by more of the same in the mouth.  Deeply complex earthy flavours adding interest, chewy pliable tannins providing full-bodied pleasure.
