If you have a penchant for bridges and don’t mind an outing in the fresh air, then this is a lovely local walk!
In a stormy 2016 the swing bridge over the Onkaparinga River was washed away. After much campaigning a new bridge has been built; sympathetic to the original with a modern twist. Suitable for all ages you can take the kids and grandma for a gentle stroll and finish up a the local playground for a picnic or BBQ for all the family.
Gephyromania – a person who has a passion for bridges.

Imagine the adrenalin rush … a Southern Bluefin Tuna whipping past you like a freight train in the pristine waters of Victor Harbor, gently plucking a pilchard from your fingers on its way through. Or the tranquility that comes from swimming lazily with hundreds of sea creatures or watching them shimmy past the windows of an underwater observatory. Imagine no longer –experience of a lifetime at the Oceanic Victor in-sea aquarium at Victor Harbor. Get in the water and get up close and personal with magnificent Southern Bluefin Tuna – one of the fastest fish in the sea! Alternatively, settle in to their undersea observatory and enjoy the spectacle of Australia’s marine life – all in the safety of a purpose built enclosure in the lee of uninhabited Granite Island.
This past April, Myponga Reservoir has opened their park and recreation trails to the public. The first time
since 1962. Start your morning off by running a lap through a new 5km track cut through Myponga’s beautiful bushland, with new hardly-seen water-views. If running isn’t your preference the tracks are enjoyed by walkers or cyclists. The path travels through open plains, forested areas and native vegetation and is peppered with picnic tables. Allow at least half a day to enjoy the splendor of this
hidden gem.
