Each year at Oliver’s Taranga we carefully age a small portion of our wine in our underground cellar. When we feel it is sitting in its optimum drinking window, we release them under our ‘Museum Release’ project. Ready for your enjoyment, without all the hassle of aging them yourself in the broom closet!

AROMA
Loads of sweet spice, some blackberry and dark chocolate.
PALATE
Rich and full-bodied, fresh black fruits and great complexity. Layers of flavour and length in the mouth. Beautiful tannins and fresh acidity to finish.
WINE & VINTAGE

2009 was a very low cropping vintage thanks
to a heat wave during flowering. This resulted
in a very low percentage of berries completing
set, and thus impacted crops drastically. This
resulted in some very concentrated fruit and
fast ripening.

WHAT THE WRITERS HAVE TO SAY

James Halliday - Wine Companion

“Bright colour; rich, ripe and inviting with fruitcake spice and fresh blackberry on display; the palate is fresh and focused, showing warm dark chocolate character providing depth and complexity; powerful and chewy, but light on its feet to conclude.”
