THE YEAR THAT
We carted all our grapes with our own truck for the first time

TASTING NOTE

AROMA
Lifted black berries, roast meats, coffee and graphite. Right in the pocket at the moment, makes the mouth water just thinking about taking a sip!
PALATE
Very generous black berry fruits flavour and ripe dark chocolate. Flavoursome, and showing as a quintessential McLaren Vale shiraz. Secondary development in the meaty, gravy spectrum and supported by lovely tannins and heart warming alcohol. Perfectly ready for Gran’s Lamb Roast- delish!
WINE & VINTAGE

We were blessed with a spectacular vintage in 2012-the reds will be talked about for a long time! Low cropping with great intensity. The shiraz fruit on our Taranga vineyard was singing, and the concentration on the vine has carried through beautifully into the resultant wines. Carefully cellared for your enjoyment.

HISTORY

With 300 acres of premium grapevines on the Taranga property, the Oliver family has over 50 blocks representing different grape varieties, clones, soil types & vine ages. Each year at Oliver’s Taranga we carefully age a small portion of our wine in our underground cellar. When we feel it is sitting in its optimum drinking window, we release them under our ‘Museum Release’ project.
