This is the exciting second release of the RW Grenache, to partner our other super premium varietals, HJ Shiraz and DJ Cabernet. Now known collectively as βThe Greatsβ, these wines represent generations of family members who have been instrumental in the creation of greatness at Olivers Taranga.
The RW is named after our great-grandfather RW (Robert William) Oliver, city councillor, farmer and gifted sportsman, RW took the Taranga vineyard into the 20th century.

Crunchy red cherries, red currants, fresh forest air, ironstone and vanilla bean. Delicate woody spices, pine needle, mushroom and forest floor.
PALATE
Mouthwatering cooling notes, loads of crunchy red fruits, nettle and forest elements, tight driving acid line, medium bodied and length for days. Perfect accompaniment to charcuterie and olives.
WINE & VINTAGE
2021 was one of the best vintages we have ever had in McLaren Vale. After two years of very low crops and drought, 2021 was perfect in almost every way (apart from a global pandemic that is!) Glory to gorgeous Grenache!
