Nicks Wine Merchants – Melbourne Writes about 2002 Oliver's Taranga Corrina's Cabernet
Another brilliant effort from the 2002 vintage by the Oliver's, showing excellent ripe Cabernet flavours. Totally opaque black purple colour with deep purple hue. Superbly perfumed nose. Top note of violets, followed by spice and blackcurrant. The palate continues to impress. Mouth filling flavours of spice, blackcurrant, and liquorice overlaid with violet infusions and vanilla. Excellent palate length, with velvet smooth tannins. Very long aftertaste of spice, blackcurrant, plum and blackberry with fine dusty tannins persisting. Cellar: 3-4 years (2005-2006)

55% Cabernet, 45% Shiraz
100% McLaren Vale, Estate grown
Rich, deep maroon, brick hues.
Some herbal mint characters from the Cabernet dominate the nose, blended with layer of spice and dark chocolate from the Shiraz.
This wine speaks of the brilliance of the 2002 vintage in McLaren Vale. Excellent sweet fruit mid-palate, with a savoury finish. Spicy oak influence and a great length.
