All of us at Oliver’s Taranga are fans of the Fringe and in recent years we have been able to enjoy the Fringe right on our doorstep. Here are a few suggestions of what is showing down our neck of the woods.
Fleurieu Fringe
Adelaide’s Southern Outdoor Fringe Hub. Featuring live entertainment, performing arts, children’s activities, art installations, workshops, food trucks, bars and artisan markets every Friday and Saturday during Adelaide Fringe. Bring your family and friends for a magical evening ‘Down South’ by the river and the sea. There’s something for everyone!
Fleurieu Fringe premiered in 2016 and received overwhelming support and positive feedback from the local community and media enthusiastic to have the Fringe “Down South”.
The event is held at Sauerbier House Culture Exchange which is on the banks of the Onkaparinga River in the tourist destination of Port Noarlunga; a beautiful seaside town.
The event is organised and run by artists and is proudly supported by the City of Onkaparinga.

Follow the White Rabbit – Tick Tock Tick Tock
What did Alice see? Where did the white rabbit lead? A caterpillar, the Cheshire Cat, a doormouse, the Mad Hatter and Queen of Hearts. Was there a tea party? What have you heard? What have you seen? So many doors, how did Alice choose? So many mediums, so many artists…what did they choose?

Emma Hack Art Prize 2017
Real or surreal? The Emma Hack Art Prize is a $5000 acquisitive art prize for all South Australian based artists fom any discipline, with a yearly theme. Emma Hack Art Prize People’s Choice Prize is $2000. 2017 is the fourth year of the Emma Hack Art Prize. This year is a new venue, the beautiful Burnside Village.

Fringe on Tour – Fringe in Goolwa
Bring along a picnic, find a spot on the lawn and enjoy a great fun day as the Adelaide Fringe caravan rolls down south with a wonderful array of Fringe Acts.
