Reserve | 2013 DJ Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon
Pop a lamb roast in the oven now! Plenty of chewy tannin, black currant, anise,
cherry berry and dusty vanillan oak to round out the palate. Chocolate and toasty, plenty of structure and aging potential for those who have the patience to wait!

Oliver’s Taranga Vineyards DJ Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon 2013
The fifth release of a DJ Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon from Oliver’s Taranga Vineyards.
If you’re looking for varietal cabernet then you should look away but if you’re looking for a substantial red wine then this brings it. Tar, leather, blackberry and rounds of coffeed, chocolatey oak. It’s ripe, warm and burly with (assertive) tannin only kicking in through the finish. The aftertaste is all malt and asphalt. I’m not sure this will ever really excite but it will kick on for many years to come.

Oliver's Taranga DJ Cabernet Sauvignon
An incredibly intense and concentrated wine, with licorice and liqueur plum aromas. There is also some dried mulberry plus dark chocolate. Bright boysenberries on the palate and well-handled oak. The edges have begun to soften, and the mid-palate has opened though the acidity is still very bright and needs a little more time to soften. Toni Paterson 91/100
