2015 Sea and Vines – It’s a wrap

2015 Sea and Vines – It’s a wrap

Thanks to all our great patrons who visited Oliver’s Taranga Vineyards during our Bank SA Sea & Vines Festival 2015.  With a sea of entertainment and fun, we felt a good time was had by all, whether it was partying on the Sunday, or more of a laid back family affair on the Monday.

With community in mind it is great to collaborate with some of our fellow artisans to bring our Oliver’s Taranga events together, as well as catch up because hospitality makes you darn busy……….

Chef Steele and his merry brigade turned on the food as usual.  The Porchetta Rolls literally rolled out the door and the ‘Swell Beer’ battered flathead and chips are the best along the coast.  Personally, I always shove a few Mushroom Arancini’s in my gob – you can’t go home without one or two or…….  Thumbs up guys- we love your guts!

Thanks for the photo Bec! I did try and warn you of the addiction

Before, during or after people had plied themselves with copious amounts of wine we had our steady duo from ‘The Humble Grounds’ cranking out the coffee. While talking addictions, I think Bec makes one of the most amazeballs coffee in the Fleurieu Peninsula…or SA.  And we have some good coffee joints down here.  Bec only lives a couple of streets away from me, so I wonder if she delivers??  If you frequent the Willunga Farmers Markets you can take a number and try one of her brews yourself. More than a few people made a ‘pick up’ the Humble Grounds gorgeous  little stand on the weekend.

The band ‘Triple Score‘ were quite a score! They  g’d-uped the crowd in record time.  With hands in the air and the sharing of felt hats, there was barely a stationery person in the place.  Great to see everyone have a boogie. The staff even got to swing their hips a little whilst weaving through the crowd.

We would like to give a big ‘thank you’ shout to the ‘big and little kids’ entertainment.  Our velcro wall was a hit on both days for the young and old.

Cat Hock worked her henna tattoo and glitter art magic and Toni Anne from Mad Hatterz Parties twisted and tweaked balloons all day long.  Thanks ladies we hope you managed to put your head up and enjoy the crowd every now and then.

Below is a little instagram gallery of our day!  We hope to see you next year.

Cheers Nicky

PS: photo creds to Parker George Photography. Awesome pics Matt!
