‘Chica’ Mencia Rose

Small Batch Wines  |  2015 'Chica' Mencia Rose

WBM July/Aug Mike Bennie, 93 points

Hot off the press and a great use for spicy, red fruited Mencia variety. Bright garnet in colour. Equally vibrant in red fruited, peppery perfume, tastes fresh and red fruited, given an amaro sour-sweet twist. Sweetness builds but the wine is cool and refreshing. A good tempo for easy drinking rose, but with complexity and interest. 93 points.
