To Explore – Deep Creek Conservation Park – Eagle Waterhole Campground

There are five campgrounds at Deep Creek conservation park and the Eagle Waterhole is the only one that is for hikers only. The Eagle Waterhole has been recently refurbished with a functional shelter and camping platforms.

There are two ways to access the campsite from the Trig Campsite car park or from Cobblers Hill, which is the shortest way. From Trig – the distance is 5.05km, from Cobblers it is 2.09km.

The walk is part of the Heysen Trail, so you can expect to find hikers traversing this part of Deep Creek, but for many hikers, Eagle Waterhole is a short stroll for the day giving you plenty of time to enjoy your bush surroundings. There is plenty of shade for those hotter days.
