To Perk Up – Dawn Patrol

Dawn Patrol have been keeping McLaren Vale winemakers in coffee ever since their beginnings in Kangarilla in 2014. And winemakers are amongst the pickiest coffee drinkers around, so they must be doing something right. After two years in Chandlers Hill, co-owners Nick Suggitt and Dom Ossa have moved Dawn Patrol back into the Vale – into an old tractor shed on the Main Road into Willunga. This funky new location offers coffee tastings and a concentrated lunch menu seven days a week.

— 402 Main Road, McLaren Vale

To Eat – Noori

This little gem, tucked away from the main street is worth the journey to find. Think quirky wines, great cocktails and delicious picky tapas style food, as well as some pretty amazing toasties! Port Noarlunga can boast one of the most beautiful coastlines in Adelaide, so if you feel like a day out on the ocean, then this would be the ideal place to come after a long day at the seaside. Or if you want a nice romantic place to bring your next date, then this place will likely earn you some brownie points, especially if you share one of the many delicious cocktails on offer.

To Shop – Kookery

If you love a good pun as much as the next homecook, then Kookery is your jam. Quirky writer, artist, food and wine lover Amy came up with the concept for Kookery by combining all her loves, and what a concept it is. This is no Williams & Sonoma, it’s way more fun – homemade, unique homewares that will make you giggle, and cement you as the best gift giver ever, are what keep you browsing every corner of this shop. Wine, Gin, Coffee, Tea, all the beverages are on show, as well as every kitchen utensil, gardening tool, and kitchenware splurge to satisfy even the pickiest shopper. So make time to check out Kookery’s ‘Fun Food Puns and Good Goods’ next time you’re in the area.
