WBM Magazine July/August Mike Bennie ‘Hot off the press and a great use for spicy, red fruited Mencia variety. Bright garnet in colour. Equally vibrant in red fruited, peppery perfume, tastes fresh and red fruited, given an amaro sour-sweet twist. Sweetness builds but the wine is cool and refreshing. A good tempo for easy drinking rose, but with complexity and interest. 93 points.’

    Aroma

    Lifted floral notes, watermelon, slight cherry liqueur edge, along with musk lollies and pomegranate.

    Palate

    Gran's musk lollies follow through on the palate, although it is a dry rose. The palate is all watermelon rind and flowers, with some fine tannins and zesty dry lemon finish.
