HJ Reserve Shiraz

Museum Wines  |  2006 HJ Reserve Shiraz

Tasting Notes:

This was the sixth release of an Oliver’s Taranga Reserve Shiraz. Selected from the best parcels of old vine Shiraz, we are now releasing after perfect bottle aging in our underground cellar.

From the Wine Writers:

A powerful, robust and warm, spirit dark red with layers of sumptuous fruit, richness and depth. Its smoky, meaty aromas of dark plums, blackberries, mocha and dark chocolates are backed by spicy nuances of cloves and licorice. Deep, dark and slightly spirit, its velvet-smooth palate presents marginally sour-edged McLaren Vale Shiraz fruit handsomely cloaked with some pretty smart savoury oak, finishing long and minty, with a lingering mineral aspect.
